Thanos' henchmen, known collectively in the comics as the Black Order and in the film as the "Children of Thanos",[74] include Terry Notary as Cull Obsidian,[75][76] Tom Vaughan-Lawlor as Ebony Maw,[77][78] Carrie Coon as Proxima Midnight,[76] and Michael James Shaw as Corvus Glaive.[79] The foursome provided voices and motion-capture performances on set for their characters.[80][79] As Coon was pregnant during filming, she mainly did facial capture for Proxima Midnight with some motion-capture,[81] with stuntwoman Monique Ganderton standing-in and providing the rest on set.[72] Ebony Maw's look was inspired by the Marvel Comics character Mephisto, who appeared in the Infinity Gauntlet storyline.[82]

Asking which of two comic book characters would win in a fight is an age-old question, asked in playgrounds, comic book shops, and even bars for years. In the world of superheroes, the Hulk is typically one of the top tier strongest and most powerful characters in both the Marvel universe and in all of the comics. Anyone who has read a comic remembers the Hulk shouting "Hulk is the strongest one there is!" and his strength is so legendary he is Tony Stark's immediate response to Loki having an army, knowing that it means nothing against the might of the green behemoth.
In the comics, Dane is the nephew of Nathan Garrett, the villainous Black Knight. Nathan carried the Ebony Blade, which had been passed down to him for generations from his ancestor, Sir Percy, the Black Knight in the days of King Arthur. The two comics, named Warriors of Three Sovereigns and Areo, were serialized on NetEase's official comics app on May 9, two days before Marvel's latest film Avengers: Infinity hit the screens in China.
Marvel's market in China has dramatically expanded in recent years, especially after the release of a series of films based on its comics. Compared with the printed versions, digitalization can make comics more widely and easily available. Besides, given the growing importance of the Chinese market, Marvel also wants to have a stake in it. And its collaboration with NetEase will help Marvel to localize its superheroes and make animation movies palatable to Chinese tastes.
China's animation industry is still in its early stage of development. And although a large number of cartoons have appeared thanks to policy and financial support, poor-quality works make up the vast majority. Still, several comics produced at home have become popular and some of them have been successfully made into movies or online games. As such, the industry needs more time to mature and become stronger.
They're trying to develop prosthetics and treat paralysis, but if you had asked me as kid when I was reading "Iron Man" comics which part in the 21st century would be the closest to reality, the last thing I would have said was the cybernetic helmet.
Jim: Ant-Man shrinking down to the size of an ant, even much smaller. When Ant-Man shrinks, he's also able to control his mass, and he shrinks at constant density, so he's very lightweight. When he rides on an ant, for example, he doesn't smush the ant, but when he wants to punch Yellowjacket, he's able to increase his mass so there's more force, more momentum behind his punch. How does he do it? In the comics and in the movie, via Pym particles that were discovered by Hank Pym. If they had just given a little bit of lip service to how one changes the size of atoms. They say that they're changing the spacing between the atoms or the space in the atoms, no. The size of an atom is determined via quantum mechanics to be the ratio of several fundamental constants: charge of an electron, mass of an electron, Planck's constant. If, via the Pym field, to adjust, say, the magnitude of Planck's constant, make it 10 times smaller, then the atoms would become 100 times smaller, and the size of an object would shrink uniformly. If you make it 10 times bigger, the size of the atoms would be 100 times bigger, you could become Giant-Man.
Jim: Thor puts the hammer down on Captain America's shield. In the movies, the shield is made of pure vibranium, where in the comics it's an alloy of steel and vibranium. That's actually more realistic.
Based on what has been shown of the MCU version so far, it appears that a lot of inspiration has been taken from the G. Willow Wilson era of the character. This includes her family dynamics and superhero geek outs. However, her powers deviate slightly from the original version in the comics.
The MCU appears to have energy powers that form shapes over her body, similar to Green Lantern. In the comics, she has body morphing powers. For instance, she can make her fist large or stretch her limbs.
This makes a lot of sense. In the comics, Kamala Khan was introduced during a time when the publisher was pushing The Inhumans hard and tied the character into that push. The Inhumans are not a priority in the MCU. It would probably take too much time to set the concepts required, hence changing things up for TV.
During this time, Marvel had a habit of giving comics a new issue #1 to try and boost sales and create new jumping-on points. While it did both of these, it can be confusing looking back at all of this. Luckily, the trade paperback collections (see below) kept their numbering.
Note: Marvel Rising was an animation project in 2018-2019 that featured a diverse team of teenage heroes such as Ghost-Spider (aka Spider-Gwen), Squirrel Girl, and Ms. Marvel. Marvel published a handful of comics as part of this.
Leading up to X-Men's release, Marvel Studios negotiated a deal with then-functional Artisan Entertainment, successful with the low-budget The Blair Witch Project, for a co-production joint venture that included rights to 15 Marvel characters including Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Iron Fist, and Deadpool. Artisan would finance and distribute while Marvel would develop licensing and merchandising tie-ins. The resulting production library, which would also include TV series, direct-to-video films and internet projects, would be co-owned.[30] By 2001, the success of Marvel Entertainment's Ultimate Marvel imprint comics created leverage in Hollywood for Marvel Studios, pushing more properties into development.[31]
In contrast to the original storylines of DC Comics' Superman and Batman films, Marvel films were more directly inspired by their comics, copying from them set pieces, scenes, plots, and dialogue.[29] 2ff7e9595c
